Our objective was not just to meet the complex needs of LMS but to push the boundaries of what’s possible with Microsoft’s Power Platform.

The Challenge

Operating across the UK, LMS provides critical medical services at an array of venues, including music concerts, visitor attractions, and film sets. Each event presents its unique set of challenges, necessitating a Patient Record Form (PRF) system that’s not only compliant with The Records  Management Code of Practice but also versatile and accessible across various devices and conditions, including offline environments.

The Solution – The Fully Integrated Power Platform Ecosystem

Responding to the call, ECC Solutions crafted a sophisticated ecosystem utilising most of the comprehensive suite of the Power Platform: Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI. This solution was engineered to serve the immediate and evolving needs of LMS, providing a scalable, adaptable, and robust platform.

Power Apps – The Pulse of Innovation

The centre-piece of our solution is a fully responsive canvas app created with Power Apps. This app distinguishes itself by being not only user-friendly across desktops, tablets, and mobile devices but also fully operational offline. Recognising the critical nature of immediate data capture and access in areas with unreliable internet connectivity, we incorporated full offline capabilities. Medical teams can now record multiple patient records in the field, regardless of internet access. Once connectivity is restored, users are prompted to sync their saved data to the backend database seamlessly, ensuring no critical information is ever lost.

Power Automate – Automating Monotonous Tasks

With Power Automate, we automated essential processes such as data validation, alerts, and synchronisation with the central database. This integration significantly reduces manual entry errors and ensures efficient communication within LMS teams, drastically improving the response times to
medical incidents and overall patient care.

SharePoint – Ease of Access for Data

Leveraging SharePoint for secure data storage and management allows for robust access control and data retrieval by authorised personnel. This strategic choice ensures adherence to strict compliance standards set forth by The Records Management Code of Practice, offering both LMS and their patients a high level of data protection and peace of mind. A further benefit for customers who already have Microsoft 365 Business licensing agreements is that you can start already using basic features of a Power App and begin to build intelligent, digital solutions for your establishment, at no additional license cost. 

Power BI – The Brain Behind Insights

Integration with Power BI empowers LMS with advanced data analytics capabilities, facilitating real-time insights and detailed reporting. This intelligence not only fosters an environment of continuous improvement and service excellence but also positions LMS as a leader in the domain of event-based medical services with access to sophisticated visual dashboards for further data interrogation.
